How to connect to US Netflix

Since Netflix started providing their service in the US, it has expanded around the world and you can now get localized versions of Netflix in Canada, Latin America, The UK and Scandinavia. However the American Netflix has much more to offer than any other version. The good news is that you can use your existing Netflix account to gain access to the American Netflix version Even if you are located where Netflix is not already supported; you can still get access to the American version of Netflix.

Force Netflix to Think you are Located in America

Your location is determined by your IP address while logging into Netflix. So if Netflix detects a Canadian IP address you will get the Canadian content and if you log in from a country where Netflix is not supported you will get an error message. So either way you need to get an American IP address in order to make Netflix think you are located in America.

Get a USA IP Address to Access American Netflix

So the trick is to connecting to a Virtual Private Network or VPN. By connecting to a VPN server located in America your normal IP address will be exchanged for an American IP address. This will result in Netflix thinking you are located in the US even though you are not. So if you already have a Netflix account you will now get access to all the American content, and if you don’t have a Netflix account then you now get the opportunity to sign up for one. Just remember to use an American zip code while signing up for Netflix (90210 works great).

How to Setup VPN to Get Netflix From America

The actual setup is easy if you Liberty VPN as they have several servers located in America and the speed offered is great for streaming. Once you have created an account with Liberty VPN simply go ahead and set up a connection on your PC, Mac, tablet or smartphone.

All in all the American version of Netflix offers much better value for money than any of the other streaming services out there – including local version of Netflix. With a VPN connection from a provider such as Liberty VPN you can gain access to not only American Netflix but also other sites such as Hulu and other US only services.

How to connect Apple TV to VPN

First you will need a VPN account with Liberty VPN and you are half way there. The issue with Apple TV is that it does not have a VPN client build in. So the connection to the VPN needs to be done outside the Apple TV. How it’s done? Simply by sharing a VPN connection from a device that is already connected to a VPN. There are 3 options you can use:

1) Share a VPN Connection in Windows:
  - Locate connection menu item and right-click on the VPN connection you have setup.
  - Select ‘Properties’ and a new window will open.
  - Then select the ‘Sharing’ tab and check of “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection”.
  - Below select the network connection you will be sharing to and click ‘OK’.

It is important to understand that you cannot share to the same connection you use to connect to the Internet with. For example, connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi, share the VPN connection to the Ethernet connection and then connect my Apple TV to the Ethernet port. You might have two Ethernet ports or perhaps connect to the Internet via a USB dongle. Whatever your setup is, just remember to share to a network connection you are not already using.

2) Share a VPN Connection in Mac OS:
  - Open ‘System Preference’s and look for ‘Sharing’.
  - Enable ‘Internet Sharing’ and where it says “Share your connection from” select the VPN connection you have setup.
  - Where it says ‘To computers using’ select the appropriate interface (please read below).
If you will be using Wi-Fi you might want to click ‘Wi-Fi options’ and set a password.

3) Share a VPN Connection from a Router:

You will need to a DD-WRT router to act as a second router. In most cases you would connect your current router modem to the WAN port of the VPN router and configure it to dial the connection. Then connect your PC or consoles to the second router.

Luxury travel in the UAE – Dubai

The United Arab Emirates is a modern and dynamic country. To some it is an advanced and clean country to others a touristy "Disneyland".

For most tourists, the UAE offers an environment that is extremely familiar. The malls are extraordinarily modern, filled with practically any product available in the rest of the world.

The most popular destination in the UAE is Dubai. Home to some of the most luxurious hotels in the world and with a constantly changing skyline, Dubai is a fast-paced desert destination with a twist.

Where else in the world would you be able to shop, ski and dine all under the same roof? And the plans for this mega-city are ever-expanding. From theme parks to sports centers, soon Dubai will encompass everything that we love about our favorite holiday destinations within striking distance of one another.

For all its luxury and glamour some more common services are offered with huge limitations. One such example is the internet. Once you decide to visit the UAE/Dubai then you must be prepared that your connection will be restricted and monitored.  Facebook and other social networks are blocked as well as other services including YouTube and Skype.

The safest and most efficient way to bypass such restrictions is to purchase a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection. A VPN is a secure connection that allows the user to tunnel their traffic through an encrypted tunnel. You will be able to save money when communicating with relatives from back home and access all the luxuries of the internet, the way you are use to.

Complete Privacy!

Privacy is important to everyone but it becomes more important if you share your computer with other family members or work in an office that monitors your activity.

Here are some suggestions to help protect your privacy and hide all evidence of your surfing habits:

1) Create a hidden encrypted area on your hard disk or USB storage called a "Volume" using Truecrypt. A Truecrypt volume looks and behaves like a normal hard disk but you can enable and disable it anytime using a password. When it is disabled no one can know that it even exists except you! It is the perfect place to store all your sensitive files and is encrypted using 256bit algorithm.

2) Once you have setup your Truecrypt volume, you can now install free Portable Applications on it like Firefox or OpenOffice. Anything you do with these programs will stay on your encrypted volume! You won't need to worry about clearing your browser Cache or URL History. Just turn of the hidden volume and everything on it is hidden and encrypted!

3) Use a Liberty VPN account to change your IP address and be anonymous online. Surf securely through our encrypted 'tunnel' using the portable Firefox on your encrypted hard disk or storage device and NOONE will ever know what you are doing. Even your network administrator or ISP cannot know what sites you visit!

Watch UK TV from abroad! (BBC ITV players, 4oD, Demand 5, Sky Go etc)

Are you an expatriate? Do you miss you favorite shows when abroad? Are you working overseas? Are you overpaying for international phone calls because Skype and other VoIP are blocked?

If any of the above applies to you then you would know how hard it is to keep in touch with your home country. Depending on which country you choose to relocate to, or choose to work in, or even visit, certain privileges that you have been used to may not be available. For example if you live in Tenerife and you want to watch EastEnders, you go to the BBC iplayer only to discover that it is ‘geo-blocked’.

In many countries more restrictions are set in place. Some block Facebook others YouTube, even Skype is blocked in numerous countries. Some might block all of the above.

The safest solution to your problem is a Virtual Private Network (VPN). It is an encrypted fully legal service at a low cost. All that is required is that you setup a connection locally on your computer (tablet, smartphone). You connect normally to your internet provider and then to the VPN. Setup is easier than ever, simple clear steps and within minutes you can enjoy your favorite TV programs!

Liberty VPN offer a 100% money back guarantee for our service.
