Twitter in Turkey

Twitter website is 'blocked' in Turkey since March 21st 2014. It is still unknown how long the ban will last. The government office said in a statement that the ban on Twitter had come in response to the company's "defiance" in failing to comply with hundreds of court rulings since last January.

This may come as a shock to many Turkish citizens, it is estimated that there around 10 million users in the country.  Many users have found a way around the restriction simply by changing to Google DNS and other services as a way to circumvent the country’s ban of Twitter as a communication service. The government later thwarted those efforts with a block of the DNS service as well, while other services, like OpenDNS, remained available.

The safest and best way to bypass internet restrictions is by using a virtual private network or VPN. A VPN connection will be setup locally on your PC, and it will provide an anonymous encrypted tunnel were all the data will be transferred through. You will then access any blocked website using an alternative IP (USA, UK, German, Swiss etc).

Our VPN service is compatible will Windows, Mac, Android, iPhone and iPad.
